Investing in Education

I have to give a plug to Dale Beaumont! I've returned from his 2 day event in Sydney more energised than ever!!!

Dale was so extremely 'giving', he not only went through the 'What' and 'Why', he also went into the 'How' which is never done by others!!

I have returned with a swag of information, tips and tools and it was all for FREE!

If you would like to attend his upcoming seminar in Sydney on the 2nd and 3rd of December, I have free tickets so contact us to get yours!

The Boys of Hot Graphics

The “Boys” of Hot Graphics represent the old and the new of the industry. The “Young Bulls” Adam Gilmour and Ted Cooper make up the Beefy team with “Old Bull” Gregg Faulkner.

Adam is annoyingly gifted, having demonstrated his considerable skills and talent in many fields in addition to his awesome graphic design talents. For clients of Hot Graphics, Adam creates innovative and highly effective original designs that are striking and attention-grabbing.

Winners!!!

We are very proud to announce that our Hot Graphics team were winners of the Trade Services category of the 2011 Port Macquarie-Hastings Council Customer Care Awards.

It was an absolute privilege to win with amazing finalists in our category such as Childish Photography, Verde Bamboo and Grahams Mechanical.

A BIG thank you goes to our wonderful customers and fantastic support network.

We love what we do and to be acknowledged and rewarded for it is just super!!

Why is Hot Graphics website strategy different?

At Hot Graphics we enjoy producing results for satisfied clients. We really get a buzz out of our clients saying “That’s exactly what I wanted.”

Of course, outcomes like that don’t happen by accident. We try very hard to listen to our clients, and we take the trouble to understand what our client is trying to achieve. Finally we apply our skills to helping the client achieve their objective.

What's the point of popular?

I just love Seth Godins take on business. Take a look at the following post:

You'd think that it's the most important thing in the world. Homecoming queen, student body president, the most Facebook friends, Oscar winner, how many people are waiting in line at the book signing...

Popular is almost never a measure of impact, or genius, or art. Popular rarely correlates with guts, hard work or a willingness to lead (and be willing to be wrong along the way).

Hot Women Promoting Me Time!

For those who aren't aware we also own and operate with Sue Faulkner, Hot Women, an innovative networking group for women in business in our region.

On Saturday 19th March we enjoyed the company of 30+ women at the Country Comfort Motor Inn where we were pampered with a massage, demonstrated by Debbie Gillespie of Feel Well Natural Therapies, and a session of yoga by Martine Ford of Spirit Yoga.

When was the last time you bought a tie?

My guess is not lately.

When you first got a fancy job, you had a tie shortage, and thus attention was paid to ties. You bought "enough for now." Then you solved the tie problem and moved on.

When you first bought an iPhone, you had an app shortage, so attention was paid to apps. You bought "enough for now." Then you moved on.

Music might be an exception (buying a new stereo doesn't often lead to a new music binge). But in general, some external event occurs that creates a fissure, an opportunity, a problem. We search, we buy, we're done.

What Type of Website Should you Have?

Bottom line is it depends on your business and budget.

We offer solutions across a broad spectrum from the simple web presence for those with a limited budget to the more complicated and involved sites offering components such as eCommerce.

Tailored websites are in a league of their own, they don't follow a set template, they are arranged specifically around your business, your culture, your service, your products.

What's the difference between a Brand and a Logo?

There are 3 key values that make up a brand:

1. Functional Value: Functional values encompass all that a company is, and what service or products it provides. Functional values are the foundation of a brand.

2. Emotional Value: The Emotional value tugs at the heart strings, it makes you believe you are successful when you purchase the product or service.

3. Promised Value: The Promised value is not tangible. It is where marketing subliminally suggests you will receive a quality product, one that will enrich your lifestyle and make you feel good.
